Pastor Mark was appointed to serve as Fairview Center United Methodist Church's Pastor in 2015. Pastor Mark has served many churches in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference, taking his first appointment in 1986.

The attributes that best describe Pastor Mark as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development, missions and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Fairview Center United Methodist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Mark takes worship and preaching very seriously.

He graduated from Century Unit 100 High School in 1977.  Shawnee Jr College in 1979 with an Associate Degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management.  McKendree College in 1981 with a BA in Religion.  Perkins School of Theology in 1986, with a M.Div.

Pastor Mark has been happily married since 1983 to his wife, Tina.  Tina is the diabetes educator at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. Together they have 1 child: Megan, who works and lives in Chicago, Illinois.
